Utilised CSR funds to treat vision impaired villagers

Under the CSR initiatives of Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd, 6 opthalmology camps were conducted in Pale Khurd, Waklan, and Shivkar villages of Panvel tehsil area.These camps were conducted as CSR initiative activities.As a result of this noble campaign 1007 patients got free consultation from renowned opthalmologists in the current financial year.
Among patients who underwent free ophthalmology, 203 patients were required cataract surgery.455 patients were detected with vision impairment.Company in association with Ishanya foundation conducted cataract surgeries and provided free spectacles to vision impaired patients.This initiative received a very positive response from the community and was appreciated for its implementation by the Ishanya Foundation. These camps were organized in collaboration with Laxmi Eye Hospital, Panvel, and R. Zunzunwala Shankara Eye Hospital, New Panvel.
All the programs were conducted under the guidance of Mr. Pramod Jagtap (Associate Director – Ishanya Fon.) and Mr. Dineshpratap Singh (EVP DFPCL). The patients who participated in these camps received high-quality services and all the necessary assistance.This initiative has helped to meet the healthcare needs of the local community, more ever the company has plans to organize similar initiatives in the future as well.The success of these events was greatly supported by village-level leaders, Gram Panchayat members, and the respective village Sarpanch.
