Very intresting episode …
Chennai June 28th..2014 ..a book launch where the tamilnadu spin twins venkat and VV Kumar were the chiefguests…4pm was the time and half hour before already 100 people had gathered..venue boat club a posh area of Chennai metropolitan..
VV Kumar was already in and mixing with the guests..while the wait was for venkat..
All of a sudden a huge Thunderclap and the sudden rains almost engulfed Chennai.. it poured ..and brought down the city to a standstill..
The organizers were really worried about a possible plan B when just 2 minutes before the launch time a tall man fully drenched from head to toe walked in with his boots squeaking in the water drenched socks…yesss it was venkat..he came in as though nothing had happened ….
The great venkat did not even bother to dry his wet clothes and met the organizers straight …
Within no time he and Kumar went for the launch…venkat addressed the gathering with his rich cricket experience and referring to many incidents in the book without referring to it…
THATS THE MAN VENKAT IS…FULL OF DETERMINATION COMMITMENT AND 👏 DISCIPLINE FOR TIME…
At the end of the function during dinner venkat spotted his old friend called vasudev from guindy engineering venkats class mate..
Venkat told the organizers that he is so and so..and said roll no.1331!!!!!the surprised organizers asked venkat..quote
Sir how’s that you remember his roll number more than 50 years…???
