NCVET–Govt. of Maharashtra Workshop in Mumbai to Focus on Future Skills, Quality Standards & Integration of VET into School & Higher Education
National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET), Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, in collaboration with Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department(SEEID), Government of Maharashtra, is organizing a Capacity Building and Awareness Workshop for Western Zone on 19th September 2025 at the Sahyadri State Guest House, Walkeshwar, Malabar Hill, Mumbai.
The workshop will bring together stakeholders from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli
to enhance awareness of NCVET’s initiatives for strengthening the Vocational Education and Training (VET) ecosystem. The programme will feature sessions on State-level skilling initiatives, the regulatory role of NCVET focussing on standards and quality assurance, training in emerging future skills including Artificial Intelligence and Green Hydrogen, onboarding and functioning of Awarding Bodies and Assessment Agencies, convergence of skilling initiatives, and mainstreaming vocational education across schools and higher education institutions.
The day long workshop will be graced by dignitaries from MSDE, Government of India, Government of Maharashtra and NCVET providing vision and direction to the deliberations.
