The workplace can be a dangerous environment, especially in an industrial setting. Occupational hazards of industrial areas can lead to accidents and injuries.from past few years improving employee safety and reducing workplace accidents remain important goals for many companies throughout the country.However it’s equally important to setup casulty centers and hospitals in and around industrial aras.Taloja industries association takes this on their agenda. They followed up regularly with concerned departments.100 beded hospital will be set up by ESIC in Taloje MIDC because of their relentless follow-up.
Medical services to the insured workers and their dependents under the the ESI scheme are provided primarily through hospitals and dispensaries run by the state government. There are at present around 1520 ESI dispensaries and 159 hospitals across the country. Out of which 45 dispensaries and 49 hospitals are directly run by ESIC while remaining dispensaries and hospitals are run by the respective state governments. Considering vast experience of ESIC in public health sector TIA members had a meeting with AC and R D Maharashtra, state medical officer of Maharashtra in regional office of ESIC at lower Parel. This meeting was held on 31st December 2020.
As discussed in that meeting ESIC regional office, Mumbai has conveyed TIA that regional office has proposed to setup new 100 bedded hospital at taloja MIDC. Government of Maharashtra has approved this proposal and action for setting up hospital at Taloje is in process. It has been also informed that three IMPs, Dr Vinod Dhole Patil, Dr Ankur Patel and Dr Sucheeth Awanti have been empanelled with effect from 1st April 2021 under caladrius multispeciality hospital to provide primary medical facilities two employees and beneficiaries of the industrial area.
